The EU Horizon project 'Dealing with a Resurgent China' (DWARC) recognises that the reemergence of China is changing the world, and that EU needs to develop a long-term approach based on research-based knowledge in order to engage strategically with an increasingly assertive China.

The consortium will bring together some of the best researchers across seven European countries to establish a world class independent knowledge base on China.

The network aims to create connections between European knowledge nodes on China and to create an enduring collaborative network. The key subjects to be covered include society and culture, politics, economy, and foreign policy. The network will also support younger researchers, providing perspectives that can assist the corporate world, and the wider EU public.
