Description
| We performed a cross-validation and a benchmarking analysis of five electrodynamic tether (EDT) simulators developed by independent research groups: BETsMA, DYNATETHER (DYNAT), EDTSim, FLEX, and TeMPEST. It is a multi-institutional and multi-national project since the codes were developed at UC3M in Spain, at YU in Canada, at JAXA in Japan, at UNIPD in Italy, and at PSU in the USA, respectively. We tested and compared the implementation of the orbital propagators, the environmental models, and the electrical and dynamical models for the EDT. |
