Las actividades del grupo de investigación MAQLAB están orientadas al desarrollo e innovación en el campo de la Ingeniería Mecánica, en particular tiene amplia experiencia en el desarrollo de técnicas de monitorización y medida de vibraciones aplicadas al mantenimiento industrial y el modelado, diseño y simulación de componentes y de mecanismos especiales (con aplicaciones Robóticas, biomédicas y transportes).
Su actividad investigadora se desarrolla en las siguientes líneas:

The activities of the MAQLAB research group are focused on development and innovation in the field of mechanical engineering. In particular, it has extensive experience in the development of vibration monitoring and measurement techniques applied to industrial maintenance and the modeling, design and simulation of components and special mechanisms (with applications in robotics, biomedicine, and transportation).
Its research activity is carried out in the following areas:
Vibrations and noise in machines and mechanisms
Machine failure analysis: defectology
Instrumentation and experimental methods
Railway engineering
Mechanical modeling and simulation:
- Multibody System Dynamics,
- Manufacturing-oriented design and optimization
Multimedia techniques applied to the teaching of mechanics
