Las actividades del grupo de investigación MAQLAB están orientadas al desarrollo e innovación en el campo de la Ingeniería Mecánica, en particular tiene amplia experiencia en el desarrollo de técnicas de monitorización y medida de vibraciones aplicadas al mantenimiento industrial y el modelado, diseño y simulación de componentes y de mecanismos especiales (con aplicaciones Robóticas, biomédicas y transportes).
Su actividad investigadora se desarrolla en las siguientes líneas:
Vibraciones y ruido en máquinas y mecanismos
Análisis de fallos en máquinas: defectología
Instrumentación y métodos experimentales
Ingeniería ferroviaria
Modelado y simulación mecánica:
- Dinámica de sistemas multicuerpo
- Diseño y optimización orientado a la fabricación
Técnicas multimedia aplicadas a la enseñanza de la mecánica
